Andrew qualified from the university
of Bristol with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in
1978, followed by the Diploma in General Dental
Practice, Royal College of Surgeons, UK in 1993
and a Master of Philosophy in 1999 for research
into dental materials at the University of Manchester.
He won the SmithKline Beecham
Dental Practice Innovation award in 1995 and the
Manchester Postgraduate Dental Society Award for
research in 1999. He advises on complementary
and alternative medicine in dentistry.
Andrew was a founder of the British
Society of Occlusal Studies in 1986 and as secretary
for 10 years, organised almost 30 postgraduate
training courses. Other positions held include
Dental Vocational Training Advisor in General
Denal Practice, UK Charman of the American Equilibration
Society, Chariman of Dental Relief for Romania
Appeal, leader writer for Dentistry Monthly magazine
magazine and editor of Biological Dentistry newsletter.
Andrew lives in Uppermill with
his wife and three of their four daughters.
