Cerec 3D Restorations

Cerec 3D Restorations CEREC-3D requires only one appointment to restore even extensively damaged teeth and does NOT need moulds to be taken, temporaries to be fitted or second appointments!!

The concept of CAD/CAM in dentistry has been around for about 15 years, however, with the rapid advancement in computing technology the latest version of CEREC, the “3D” version is out-of–this-world!

The system allows to the dentist so much scope to repair teeth that previously would have required full-coverage crowns or even root-filling and post-crowning.

The dentist prepares the tooth by removing decay and any previous filling material. An optical-image is taken of the tooth and its neighbours. The image is then converted to 3D by the computer which allows the dentist to view the tooth from ANY angle and design the most appropriate All-Ceramic restoration for that tooth.

The restorations are "milled" from a cube of solid Glass-Ceramic, the closest material available to natural tooth substance and then bonded into place. Colour-matching is accurate so that even front teeth can be restored.
